Hey there! I'm Mörtel - some of you might know me personally, some of you may have come across me on Instagram, or maybe we've even crossed paths at concerts. Before diving into reviews and other posts, I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and what 'Iron Echoes' is all about.

Now, I won't bore you with my life story. Instead, here are some key things to know so you'll get a feel for who I am and what to expect around here:

I'm Luca, 23 years young, living in the Ruhrpott, the German Heart of Heavy Metal. Though German by blood, I've had the privilege of experiencing two cultures at once, and it's shaped me in amazing ways. I'm a music nerd with a serious love for physical formats and an undying passion for heavy metal. Concerts, music reviews and discovering fresh sounds are what drive me. Besides metal, I'm big into gaming - Pokémon basically raised me. By day, I work in IT Security & Compliance and when I'm not glued to a screen or blasting records, you'll find me out in nature - hiking or biking through the forests.

What motivated me to start Iron Echoes?

Simple: my love for music and the desire to share that passion. I love for discovering new sounds and introducing others to bands that deserve to be heard, especially the small, rising names on the scene. You'll see a lot of those here. And who knows? Maybe this blog will fall into the same pit of forgotten hobbies like my attempts at mastering guitar, bass and vocals (spoiler: I got distracted). But maybe this is what "different" really means for me.
